Study and Travel: RAU Welcomes incoming exchange students

As part of the student exchange program, 10 students from Russia have arrived at RAU.

These young people have come not only to study but also to immerse themselves in the rich culture, traditions, and history of our country.

On their first day at the university, the students met with representatives from the Department of International Cooperation. During the meeting, they were introduced to the university, learned about its history, academic programs, and the unique opportunities that RAU offers.

The department staff also shared useful advice about life in Armenia.

"Don't be afraid to try new things," said Irina Sargsyan, a leading specialist at the department. "Armenia is famous for its cuisine. Be sure to try khorovats, tolma, and the renowned Armenian lavash."

The students also received information about local landmarks and cultural events.

"Yerevan is a city that combines ancient history with modernity. Don’t miss the chance to visit places like the Cascade, Republic Square, Matenadaran, and many more," added Lilit Vahradyan, Acting Head of the Department.

Among the exchange students was Alisa Yolkina from ITMO University (Saint Petersburg), who shared her excitement:
"I am very happy to have the opportunity to study in Armenia. This is not only a chance to gain new knowledge but also to immerse myself in a different culture."

Another participant in the exchange program, Stepan Kosygin, a student from Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, was impressed by RAU:
"This is undoubtedly one of the best universities I have ever been to."

Throughout the next semester, the Russian students will be studying various disciplines, engaging in research projects, and participating in cultural events, making their stay in Armenia truly unforgettable.

They hope that the academic process at RAU will be engaging and fulfilling. Many are eager to explore new subjects, and some have even expressed interest in adding the Armenian language to their curriculum.
